Whether you are a beginner or advanced sailor, Cabarete has some of the
best conditions for everyone. Light morning breezes provide ideal
conditions for beginners and afternoons fill in with warm steady trade
winds for more advanced sailors. Several beachfront shops provide all
levels of instruction and rentals. |

Surfing
The Cabarete area has become a popular area for surfing due to its warm
and safe surfing waters. Located just 5 minutes from Cabarete is
“Encuentro”, the best
spot in the Dominican Republic to surf. Whether you are just learning
or an advanced surfer, Encuentro has something for everyone. Board
rentals and lessons are available on site. |

Wakeboarding
The perfect cross training sport for kiteboarding is wakeboarding. The Yasica
River is located just 7km (10 minutes) from Cabarete and
is the best place in the Dominican Republic to Wakeboard. Protected
from the wind, the glass like water and tropical beauty make this an
experience you’ll never forget. |

Playa Dorada (18
holes, Par 72 designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.):
Golf Digest noted the Playa Dorada Golf Course as one of the Top 100
courses outside of the United States. This magnificent course is only a
short 35 minute drive from the Harmony Residence.
Playa Grande (18
holes, Par 72 designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.):
Undeniably one of the most beautiful course designs, this course is
felt to be the crowning achievement of the master golf course designer,
Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Often referred to as the “Pebble
Beach of the Caribbean,” the Playa Grande Golf Course is laid
out with 10 holes running along ocean cliffs with spectacular panoramic
views of the sea. The Playa Grande Golf Course is about one hour drive
from the Harmony Residence. |
